Terms and Conditions
Walaa Platform, Oman’s dedicated eCommerce created to celebrate and promote local products and services integrated with RABT Certified Industrial Organisation and their products & Services Rabt. It provides a vibrant digital marketplace where Omani manufacturers, producers, and service providers can showcase their offerings through easy-to-manage virtual stores, is governed by the following Terms and Conditions.
By using the Walaa Portal walaastore.om and/or its Services, you agree that You have fully read and understood the Terms and Conditions, and that your company’s or your personal acceptance constitutes binding agreement with these Terms.
Definitions
- 1.1. “Walaa” refers to Oman’s official eCommerce platform for promoting Origin Oman products and services.
- 1.2. “Service” or “Services” refer to functionalities provided on Walaa.
- 1.3. “Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority (PTLCA)” are the Owners of Walaa.
- 1.4. “Businessgateways International LLC (BGI)” are the Implementers and Operators of Walaa, governed through a Project Partnership Agreement with PTLCA.
- 1.5. “Portal” refers to walaastore.om, that is accessible through internet browser or mobile application or any other related media.
- 1.6. “Portal Admin”, “Admin” refers to BGI.
- 1.7. “Vendors” or “Sellers” refers to Omani manufacturers, service providers, and producers who list their products/services on Walaa.
- 1.8. “Customers” or “Buyers” refers to individuals, government entities, or companies purchasing through Walaa.
- 1.9. “Loyalty Program” refers to Walaa’s reward scheme under which Customers earn points for purchases.
- 1.10. “Walaa Stakeholders” refer to all Users accessing Walaa for any reason.
- 1.11. “Material” refers to all text, graphics, product descriptions, images, and content on the Portal.
- 1.12. “You” and “User” refers to any Customer, Vendor, or Visitor accessing Walaa.
General Terms
- 2.1. The Services offered on Walaa are available to registered Users (Vendors, Customers, or Visitors) for the duration of their active account, unless otherwise explicitly suspended or terminated.
- 2.2. PTLCA reserves the right, in its sole discretion and at any time, to amend these Terms and Conditions.
- 2.3. PTLCA also reserves the right, at any time, to waive or modify any part of these Terms if they apply to a specific User, Vendor, or Service, without affecting the application of the Terms to other Users.
- 2.4. Any changes made will be effective accordingly when made and the updated Terms and Conditions will be made available to the User via Walaa Portal.
- 2.5 Any User who violates these Terms and Conditions may be banned temporarily or permanently as per the discretion of PTLCA, from using some or all the Services.
- 2.6. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severable and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining Terms.
- 2.7. By registering on Walaa, you (and, where applicable, your company) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including all related policies and procedures issued by PTLCA from time to time.
- 2.8. You understand and agree that PTLCA may send You communications relating to the Services, such as Service announcements and administrative messages, and that PTLCA may also send You copies of any periodic newsletters or similar informative communications from time to time.
- 2.9. Communications sent to You concerning the Services are for your personal/business use only and are not intended for public disclosure.
- 2.10. While PTLCA and BGI make reasonable efforts to ensure availability of the Services, they do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, or error-free access to Walaa, and shall not be liable for temporary unavailability.
- 2.11. PTLCA may change, suspend, or discontinue any Services or features of Walaa at any time, or impose restrictions on usage, without notice or liability to Users.
- 2.12. The information You provide during registration and transactions is deemed accurate and complete, and You are solely responsible for updating it as necessary.
- 2.13. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and all activities carried out under their accounts.
- 2.14. PTLCA and BGI disclaim any responsibility or liability arising from disclosure of your account information to third parties.
- 2.15. Though not obliged to do so, PTLCA or BGI may monitor certain User activities on the Portal for security, compliance, or operational purposes.
- 2.16. PTLCA reserves the right to review Vendors and Customers, remove or suspend accounts, or refuse listings at its sole discretion.
- 2.17. PTLCA makes no guarantee of what actions will or will not be taken against violations, and no such commitment should be inferred from these Terms or related communications.
- 2.18. PTLCA does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of Vendor content (product descriptions, prices, availability), and shall not be liable for any damages incurred by reliance on such information.
- 2.19. Users shall not infringe upon the intellectual property, copyright, trademark, or proprietary rights of any other User, Vendor, or entity, and must comply with applicable Omani and international laws and regulations.
- 2.20. Walaa may provide links or connections to external websites, feeds, or services. These external sources are not controlled by PTLCA, and no representation is made regarding their accuracy, reliability, or content.
- 2.21. PTLCA makes no warranties concerning the accuracy of information supplied by Vendors or Customers, nor the uninterrupted delivery of the Services.
- 2.22. PTLCA and BGI disclaim any responsibility for User conduct, vendor obligations, or claims arising from transactions, including damages, disputes, or indemnification.
- 2.23. All Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless PTLCA and BGI from any claims, liabilities, losses, or damages arising out of their use of the Walaa Services.
Exhibitors Obligation
- 3.1. Vendors must be certified by RABT before listing products or services.
- 3.2. Vendors agree to list accurate product descriptions, prices, and comply with Oman’s consumer protection laws.
- 3.3. Vendors must honor customer warranties, returns, and after-sales service.
- 3.4. Vendors shall indemnify PTLCA & BGI against claims arising from product defects, misrepresentation, or non-delivery.
Services Terms

PTLCA hosts Walaa on its Portal walaasupport@rabt.om.
- 4.2. PTLCA provides the Services through the Walaa Portal, which has been built and is operated by BGI in accordance with the mandate and scope agreed between PTLCA and BGI.
- 4.3. Certain Services on Walaa may be chargeable as per the policies of PTLCA.
- 4.4. By registering on Walaa, you fully understand and agree that submission of Vendor or Customer details does not automatically guarantee approval to sell, list, or participate, and is subject to successful verification and acceptance by PTLCA & BGI.
- 4.5. Vendors agree not to attempt to influence or bypass the Vendor Verification process in any way and shall comply with all requirements as laid out by PTLCA in accordance with the policies of Walaa.

4.6. All Vendors listing products or services on Walaa must be registered and certified through RABT, thereby ensuring authenticity, compliance with Omani industrial standards, and eligibility to participate on the Portal.
- 4.7. While the intent of Stakeholders (including Buyers, Government entities, and other Users) is to connect with Vendors through Walaa, you fully understand and agree that there is no guarantee that any Stakeholder shall be present, purchase, or engage with your company. Their participation and scope of interaction are entirely dependent on their internal policies and decisions. PTLCA & BGI cannot be held responsible or liable for any such decisions.
- 4.8. You fully authorize PTLCA & BGI to access and process the Data and Information submitted by your company online and offline for the purpose of listing, verification, order processing, loyalty management, and related Services. You also agree that validated Vendor and product information may be published on
for access by Users. - 4.9. As part of Walaa Services, Customers and/or Stakeholders may provide reviews, ratings, or feedback on your products, services, or company performance. Such feedback may be visible to other Users of Walaa.
- 4.10. PTLCA takes no responsibility for the accuracy, fairness, or tone of ratings, reviews, or comments posted by Users as part of the Services on the Portal.
- 4.11. While PTLCA and BGI take reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality and security of data, they do not guarantee that all data submitted will remain secure and confidential against breaches beyond their control.
- 4.12. Vendors agree to manage their data responsibly and ensure compliance with all requirements laid down by Walaa. Vendors should provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding their company, products, or services at the time of listing, and update such information in a timely manner whenever changes occur.
Taxation Compliance
- 5.1. If VAT or other tax-related details have not been provided by Users (Vendors or Customers), PTLCA shall not be responsible for any inability faced by the Users to claim respective tax benefits.
- 5.2. Users must provide complete, accurate, and timely transactional information in order for PTLCA to comply with VAT filings and other requirements mandated under the laws of Oman.
- 5.3. Users are subject to all applicable taxation laws in Oman, including any changes implemented from time to time by the respective Regulatory Authorities.
- 5.4. It is the responsibility of Users to provide and update correct tax details in Walaa. PTLCA or BGI shall not be liable for any losses incurred due to incorrect, incomplete, or outdated tax information submitted by Users.
Copyright
- 6.1. Unauthorized use of the Material on the Portal may violate copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
- 6.2. Users may not sell, modify, reproduce, display, publicly perform, distribute, or otherwise use the Material for any public or commercial purpose without prior authorization.
- 6.3. The use of Walaa’s Material on any other website, platform, or service without consent is strictly prohibited.
- 6.4. Users should not copy or adapt the HTML, code, or software that generates Portal’s pages, as it is protected by PTLCA’s copyrights.
Trademark
- 7.1. The trademarks, names, logos, and service marks (collectively “trademarks”) displayed on this Portal are registered and unregistered trademarks of PTLCA or BGI.
- 7.2. Nothing in these Terms shall be interpreted as granting any license or rights to utilize any trademark without the prior written permission of PTLCA.
Violation
- 8.1. Violations of Walaa’s system and network security are strictly prohibited and may result in civil or criminal liability. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Any automated or unauthorized use of the system.
- Use of software or mechanisms that keep your account logged in while inactive.
- Unauthorized access to or use of data hosted on the Portal, systems, or networks, including attempts to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities, or breach authentication/security measures without authorization.
- 8.2. PTLCA may investigate any such violations and may report unlawful activity to law enforcement or other legal authorities, fully cooperating with them as required.
